Brent Glenn - Doctor

Dr. Brent Glenn | Medical Director

Dr. Glenn graduated from the NC State School of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. He is a native of Waxhaw. He and his wife, Samantha, live in Lancaster County with their three young children. Dr. Glenn is a farmer in his free time and enjoys raising cattle.

Dr. Meredith Somerset | Associate Veterinarian


Dr. Somerset graduated from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. She and her husband enjoy the outdoors and hanging out with their pets. Dr. Somerset is an avid horseback rider.

Dr. Candice Ellis | Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Ellis graduated from Tuskegee Veterinary College. She is a native of Pageland and has been with FAH since she was in high school. She and her husband live on a small family farm with their two kids, Knox and Emory Grace.

Dr. Ellis currently helps the local Lancaster SPCA with their veterinary needs and enthusiastically encourages adoption of homeless pets. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but has a passion for preventive care and client education.

Dr. Ellis currently has four dogs, five cats, two horses and a donkey. In her spare time she enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Doug Dilworth | Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Doug Dilworth grew up on a grain and livestock farm in West-Central Illinois. His early education started with his own 4-H sheep herd; horses; family cattle and swine operations. The local veterinarian's skill with animals and people was the inspitation to consider this profession at an early age.

Dr. Dilworth completed a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Iowa State in December 1987 and his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine was celebrated in May of 1992. He has always been enthusiastic about clients, veterinary care, and the joy of helping people.

When I am not helping people and pets; I teach horsemanship, horse handling, and training of horses at 3-D Horsemanship with my wife Lisa in Waxhaw, NC. Our two girls, Carter and Charlee, always add exciting dimensions to our lives every day. Our animal family includes Irish Draught Horses; Quarter Horses; 2 ponies; a small flock of Katahdin Sheep; along with Checkers, our Border Collie; and cats; Phoebe, Bert, and 3 new tortoise-shell calico kittens.

Heather Plyler | Practice Manager

Meet Heather, the IV Catheter Queen, Chihuahua Whisperer, and our Practice Manager. Having grown up in Lancaster, Heather has spent the last 12 years at our hospital building special client, patient, and work relationships. Whether it's our tiniest, geriatric patient or a a fur baby in need of some hydration, Heather's the one to answer the call.

Outside the hospital, Heather enjoys the great outdoors and spending time with her family, including her fiancé, three little ones, three dogs, a cat, and a whole farmyard of animals - with plenty of room for more!

Sadie Assistant Practice Manager

Sadie Ferguson, LVT | Assistant Practice Manager

Sadie grew up on family land in Lancaster with a mixture of animals. She entered Wofford College as undecided on her major, but after some job-shadowing in the upstate area, Sadie decided that she wanted to be a veterinary technician. Sadie later attended the Tri-Country Technical College to work toward her veterinary technician license. While she studied, Sadie did an externship with Faulkner Animal Hospital. After graduating in June of 2016, she became a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) and now works with us full-time as Assistant Practice Manager.

Sadie is passionate about client education and communication by keeping pet owners informed, especially during hard times. She also excels at all things phlebotomy: pulling blood and placing IV catheters.

Married with two kids, Sadie and her folks live on their family farm. She loves spending time with her family, working with her various animals - pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, dogs, and cats - and helping out her church's middle school youth program. Sadie isalso on the board of Lancaster SPCA as a Vet Tech consultant. She helps process intakes and triage urgent cases to create plans for treatment.
